Loki loves sunbathing. I don't really know why. A couple weekends ago, it was 90 degrees. And he still wanted to go sunbathing. Doesn't he know that he has a big fur coat?
I hope you do not think I was implying something ;) I know shibas are so weird sometimes, like Akira when we lived in Canada he would stay hours on end in the yard snow bathing and even rain bathing !
My black and tan, Tazzie, seems to love to sunbathe too. We live in Hawaii, so imagine a black shiba sunbathing at 1:00 in the afternoon. Puzzling, but cute.
Akira loves to stay outside when it is cold, and especially snowy. i like the sunny weather. i do not like the rain, but Akira doesn't mind it. luv, Shiro
Mika sun bathes all the time. When he gets tired of laying in the sun, he'll retreat to the shade for a little while, then he'll go back to the sun. Oh, and if I didn't let him out, he'll find where the sun is shining through the sliding door, and lay in the sun.

He's lucky he's not black like Akira because as soon as there's sun, even if it's 60-ish he gets very hot.
To clarify, it's not like we're forcing him to be outside. He just absolutely LOVES sunbathing.

Jiro loves to sunbathe too. He would stay outside day on a sunny day, if I would let him. Silly cat-dogs :)

Thanks Vi ! I just asked Masako & am awaiting her reply.
Yuki is just the same! Except, she'll go back and forth to the shade. We usually just put out a bowl of ice & water for her.

He looks good out there in the sun.
Happy mommy's day!
