Apparently, they were hunting some small animal. Maybe it ran inside our gutters. I don't know. It was very difficult to get them back inside the house. What a pain! Grrr!

chipmunks hide in our gutters all the time- we have had to rebuild them many times after the shibas have decided to seek out and destroy.
Well, I also don't know what to say, Sweetheart. Who will scold a dog as cute as Shiba? Oh my, he just takes my breath away. Replacing your old gutters with new ones will not hurt, anyways. (",)
Your buddy is so brave, and it seems like it would be willing to defend your entire house against anything. You're pretty lucky to have him with you. He was even able to shred up that gutter!
