I came across a shiba pictured for this USA Today article about the new emergence of dog camps. They are camp vacations for you and your dog! When I read the first paragraph, I thought this was a crazy idea for crazy dog people. But by the time I finished the article, I thought, hey this sounds like fun. Maybe I'm just becoming a crazy dog person.

I kinda think my sheebs would have a nervous breakdown if I left them at 'dog camp'!
Oh, you don't leave your dog there. You camp WITH your dog. They provide a variety of dog activities for you to try out, like agility, flyball, tracking, obedience, or you can just go on strolls through the woods.
Sounds like so much fun! Typically, i'm not a vacation taking type of person. But if i can vaction with my boy? With full on activities for my boy? Would be wonderful!
Unfortunately the camp is in Illinois and i'm in arizona.. too long a trip, i do believe.
i'm going to look around to see if there's anything like this on the west coast.
Just realized.... I really am the Crazy Dog Lady... =P
